End-of-the-course performance 2023 - 2024
Students of the Theatre workshop, Saturday group, finished the course 2023 – 2024 with the performance of the theatre play “The cherry orchard” by Anton Chéjov, directed by Anna Tereshchenko, the teacher of the workshop.
“The cherry orchard” by Anton Chéjov masterfully portrays a touching transition from one epoch to another, encapsulating the inevitable passing of time and deep changes that it brings to individuals and society. Set in a large Russian estate destined for sale, the story is getting developed with a rich diversity of characters whose lives and dreams are inexorably linked to the famous orchard. Through a mixture of subtle humour and deep emotional streams, Chéjov explores the topics of change, loss and shock between the past and the future, inviting the public to ponder on the enduring human condition.
The students have built on the stage a sensitive and deep world. They performed moving and dramatic stories of the characters, that don’t leave us indifferent. Full of humanity, fragility and nostalgy, the play captivates and moves us. ¡Congratulations to our students for a splendid performance!
