Performance end-of-the-course 2023 - 2024
The students of the theatre workshop, Mondays group, finished the course 2023 – 2024 with the performance of a theatre play based on the novel “Three comrades” by Erich María Remarque, adapted for theatre and directed by Anna Tereshchenko, the teacher of the workshop.
“Three comrades” is a thrilling exploration of friendship, love and despair in post-war Germany, where three friends face the shadows of the First World War and the growing threat of nazism. It’s a story about Robert Lohkamp and his two friends, Otto y Gottfried, veterans of the First World War, who struggle to find the sence of their lives Germany that has been devastated by the war and economic chaos of the 1920s. United by the front memories and their passion for automobiles, they open a mechanic workshop while trying to survive in a ruined society. Nevertheless, the appearance of Patricia Hollmann, a young sick girl, with whom Robert starts an intense love relationship, complicates their lives and put on trial the bonds of their friendship. Among nostalgia, fear and broken dreams, Remarque’s characters face a reality that becomes increasingly sofocating.
The performance portrays the time of the novel, carries us to Germany of 1920 and makes us follow with deep interest characters’ stories. ¡Congratulations to our students for the brillant performance!
