Neutral Mask intensive course
This Neutral Mask intensive course is an approach to acting with a neutral mask. The neutral mask develops the presence of an actor in the space that surrounds him. It allows to get rid of physical tensions and develop corporal plasticity. The mask puts an actor into the state of discovery, openness, availability to receive. It allows to see, to listen, to feel, to touch fundamental things with a freshness of the first time.
We will work on the basic concepts of body movement (economy, articulation, accentuation, breathing, rhythm, projection) and fundamental acting skills (stage presence, urgency, receptiveness, action – reaction, movement of the body in space and a dramatic image).
The course is imparted by Angel Bonora, Jacques Lecoq’s disciple and a specialist at physical theatre, the director of TEATRACCIÓ International Theatre School. He completes his studies at The International Theatre School of Jacques Lecoq where afterwards realises LEM (Laboratory of the study of movement) (Paris, 1990 – 1994). In 1994 graduates from the Institute of the Teatre Studies – Universidad Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III.
His teaching experience starts at Maison de la Culture de Vincennes (France) where he works as a teacher of acting during 1991-1993. During the period of 1995 – 2002 he imparts courses at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona.
Since 1995 he has been a permanent teacher at Escuela Internacional de Teatro Estudis Berty Tovías in Barcelona.
